Each year, the Society and its local chapters create a variety of fun, affordable and often educational golf outings for members and guests. Our events have included guest gurus, poets, musicians, philosophers, course architects and golf pros – even an outing with Ram Dass – as we have sought to provide members with distinctive ways to get together, play some ‘gowf’ and “sing the praises of the game.”
We actively encourage members to put on
local and regional events in their areas, with whatever theme, format or size the group wants to create.
National events, such as the
Games of the Links at Bandon Dunes, are hosted by the Society’s national office. The office also coordinates exciting
international events each year for a limited number of members. Each summer,
The Kingdom Tour offers guided tours of the great links courses of Scotland and Ireland. In 2008, sixteen members made the Society’s first trip to Asia for
Searching for Shivas in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
