The great Byron Nelson summed up the attitude many Shivas Irons Society members have about their relationship to golf: “Be good to the game and give back.”
As a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable and educational organization, the Society has benefited greatly from the generosity of its members. In addition to ensuring the ongoing viability of the organization, their support has enabled us to
· Play the game as a tool for personal and social transformation
· Create an award-winning journal of golf art and literature
· Sustain a summer scholarship program for disadvantaged junior golfers
· Advocate for environmental sustainability and access for all
· Offer scholarships for membership and events to the less advantaged
