“Golf in the Kingdom — The Movie” is now looking and feeling like a reality. As reported here a few weeks ago, filming has now begun on this project which has taken at least 20 years to get to fruition... and I finally get to collect on my 50th birthday gift from Michael Murphy, which was to appear as an "extra" in the movie.

I celebrated my 50th birthday with a large gathering of friends at a big private home that we rented at Pebble Beach. It was an all-around memorable day for me, but, without question, my personal highlight of the occasion was a telephone call greeting from Michael Murphy that included, as a special birthday promise, an invitation to appear as an extra in the upcoming film production of “Golf in the Kingdom,” which was scheduled to soon begin shooting... The date of my 50th birthday was January 13, 1990.
