From a catapillar... to a chrysalis... to a beautiful butterfly...

In almost every classroom you will find butterflies in different stages of their life cycle. The children all know that the hungry catapillars will form a chrysalis and while in that chrysalis will become a perfect, beautiful butterfly. It's expected, a known fact... they marvel at the beautiful colors of their drying wings and look forward to the day they fly.

But... sometimes things go wrong and a butterfly emerges with a damaged wing. Are they any less impressed, any less excited? No.

After a few days, they take their butterflies out to be released... Of the dozens set free, which butterfly do you think the kids cheer for the loudest? Would you cheer along? Join with a brilliant smile and laughter as they watch that beautiful, imperfect butterfly join the others in the sky?

Came in 3rd in the qualifier. Did not play my best round, but I’m into the final, and my 3 iron saved the day again. I drew Allen Gentry’s name out of the hat. I wish that would not have happened.

Another practice round today. I feel extremely comfortable with the course. It’s like my home course at this point. Tomorrow I have to get into the top 8 in order to be into the match play for the following 2 days.

In the practice round today I did not score all that well. Although, I learned a lot about the course. There is a Mountain behind the course and the Rio Grande towards the other end of the city and everything breaks towards the Rio away from the Mountain peak. It took me 16 holes to figure out exactly how this was affecting my putts.
