Invites you to join us for an authentic golf adventure to the Western Isles of Scotland
Thursday July 2 to Thursday July 9, 2026
Experience the best of true links golf, playing four authentic seaside courses in the Outer Hebrides. Your hosts will be Shivas Irons Society Executive Director Ben Kline and Shivas Coach Isaac Weintraub, PGA, for an 8-day, 7-night adventure that will have us playing some of the world’s oldest, most picturesque, and most authentic courses.
When we are going:

Stornoway Golf Club Isle of Harris Golf Club
Askernish Golf Club
The Isle of Barra Golf Club

We will play, rain or shine. Typically in July, the temps vary from around 50-63. We can expect a mix of drizzle, sunny intervals and possibly heavier showers.
Where we are staying:
The Caldh Inn in Stornoway (July 2, 3). The Dark Island hotel a quaint 3-star hotel oozing Scottish charm, on Benbecula Island in the Outer Hebrides for the rest of the trip
We have limited availability for both single and double occupancy. Please specify your preference and/or flexibility and we will try to accommodate your requests. If you want to share a room, we can try to pair you with a compatible roommate.
How we’ll get around:
We will have two luxury 8-passenger coaches, with dedicated drivers, ensuring our safety and comfort every mile of our journey together.
The custom-built Mercedes Sprinters feature A/C, mini-fridge, Wi-Fi and individual passenger seats with USB connections.
We will provide transport from Inverness (city or airport) on Thursday July 2, and return transport to Inverness airport on Thursday July 9.
As we are traveling around the Western Isles of Scotland we will be enjoying several ferry rides throughout our trip.
What it will cost:
• Costs will range from $5,700 - $6,600 per person
• Pring varies depending on room type (mostly single occupancy) and room size
• Pricing could potentially be lower based on size of group
• Minimum 12 golfers needed in order for trip to go ahead, maximum 16
As we are staying in comfortable Scottish hotel accommodations, room rates vary by size and occupancy. To be fair, we propose responding to your preferences on a first come, first served basis.
Rates are approximately as follows (based on 3/2/26 exchange rate):
• Costs will range from $5,700 to $6,600 per person
• Pricing varies depending on room type (mostly single occupancy) and size
• Pricing could potentially be lower based on size of group
• Minimum 12 golfers needed in order for trip to go ahead, maximum 16
Rate includes:
• 7 nights bed and breakfast
• 5 rounds of golf
• Shivas golf coaching, stretching and golf exercise
• 2 dinners: welcome and farewell
• Cultural excursions
• Daily refreshments
• Safe and comfortable transportation
With some experienced Scotland travelers among us, we are also able to make recommendations of things to see and do and places to eat to help make this an unforgettable trip for all.
We expect this trip to fill up quickly. Please let us know of any questions right away, otherwise, please remit a non-refundable $1500 deposit (and convey your room preference) by March 9. If you need to cancel we will make every effort to find a replacement golfer. If one can be found, your deposit will be refunded.

Terms and Conditions
Shivas Irons Society: Outer Hebrides Trip July 2, 2026 - July 9, 2026
1. Introduction These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the participation of members ("Participants") in the golf trip to The Outer Hebrides ("Trip") organized by Shivas Irons Society ("Organization"), a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of California. By registering for the Trip, Participants agree to comply with these Terms.
2. Eligibility Participation in the Trip is open to members of the Organization who are in good standing. Membership dues, if applicable, must be fully paid prior to registration. Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of the Trip.
3. Registration and Payment
• A non-refundable deposit of $1,500 is required to secure a spot on the Trip.
• Full payment must be made by June 15, 2026.
• Payment plans may be available at the Organization’s discretion.
• Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation of
the Participant’s reservation.
4. Trip Inclusions and Exclusions
• Inclusions: The Trip includes accommodations (6 nights accommodation) and five rounds of golf. In the itinerary (group welcome dinners and green fees are non-refundable regardless of weather conditions.
• Exclusions: Airfare, personal expenses, meals not specified in the itinerary, golf amenities such as caddy or push cart fees, and travel insurance are not included.
5. Cancellation Policy
• Cancellations must be submitted in writing to ben@shivas.org.
• Refunds are subject to the following schedule:
o If more than 60 days prior to the Trip start date, full refund available only if a replacement Participant is found.
o No refund if cancellation is made within 60 days of the Trip start date.
6. Travel Insurance Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain travel insurance to cover potential losses, including trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and lost luggage. The Organization is not responsible for any expenses incurred due to a Participant’s failure to secure adequate insurance.
7. Conduct and Liability
• Participants are expected to conduct themselves responsibly and respectfully during the Trip. The Organization reserves the right to remove any Participant whose behavior is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
• The Organization is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred by Participants during the Trip. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organization, its officers, and its agents from any claims arising from their participation in the Trip.
8. Itinerary Changes The Organization reserves the right to make changes to the Trip itinerary as necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather conditions, venue availability, or other factors beyond its control. Any significant changes will be communicated promptly to Participants.
9. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of California.
